Career Guidebooks - Ohio

Ohio’s Construction and Manufacturing Industries are in high demand, they pay well, and they require a variety of educational pathways. Many of these pathways begin as early as middle school, and they require postsecondary education ranging from employer-based training, to certificates, to pre-apprenticeships, to associate and bachelor’s degrees. Through funding from Ohio Department of Education’s Office of Career-Technical Education, the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE) designed a series of guidebooks for students and their families, and the educators who serve them, in order to broaden their understanding of these pathways and the opportunities they provide. Our goal is to broaden participation in these exciting, rewarding, and well-paying careers, especially for those historically under-represented by gender/sex, race and ethnicity, and (dis)ability status. We hope you will find these tools to be useful as you and your students explore these exciting career pathways.
