(WEPAN). Mimi will receive the 2012 Education Award when WEPAN holds
its 23rd Annual Conference, "Getting to the Heart of It
All," in Columbus, Ohio from June 25-27. Congratulations, Mimi!

interest in welding and little interest in manufacturing careers in
general, according to Superintendent Gregory Thornton. MPS has
created 10 career clusters for high school students to study if they
are interested, manufacturing being one of them. However, very few
students choose the manufacturing program, often opting for health
