2010 PDI logoDear Colleague,

The National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE) will celebrate its ** 31st year ** promoting equity in education and workforce development at its annual Professional Development Institute in Washington D.C., April 12 - April 15, 2010. The conference will be held at the Doubletree Hotel, Arlington, VA.

We invite you to show your support of equity in education and workforce development by being a sponsor of the conference or advertising in the program. Enclosed are the sponsorship and advertising rate specifics. For more information on the NAPE Professional Development Institute please click the logo in the left sidebar or to the left.

The Perkins Act, the federal funding for career and technical education, places considerable emphasis on increasing the participation and completion of students in nontraditional career and technical education programs and improving the success of special population students. The individuals responsible for this work at the state and local level are the participants at the NAPE Professional Development Institute. Please know that your sponsorship will be seen by individuals from the public, private, and the corporate sector from all over the country and will be indicative of your support in promoting equitable classrooms and workplaces.

The NAPE Education Foundation was initiated as a result of state and local education and workforce agencies requesting assistance with program improvement efforts. As a result, its mission is focused on expanding career options and the economic potential of America's diverse workforce. Currently we are working on projects that target underrepresented groups in career and technical education (CTE) and increasing the participation of females in science, technology, engineering and math related careers. For more information on the Foundation and its projects look to the sidebar on the right. Proceeds from program advertising and sponsorships will be used to support projects like these.

We look forward to your participation and thank you for your continued support of equity in education. All donations are tax deductible as the NAPE Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. If you have any questions, please call me at 610-593-8038.

Sincerely,

Mimi Lufkin
Chief Executive Officer
