Special Event (Wednesday,
April 18, 7:30 pm)
Join us for the Arena Stage's
presentation of
The Heidi Chronicles. In this insightful comedy, Heidi Holland,
feminist art historian, recounts significant milestones in her
life—meeting lifelong friends at '60s political events, her own
uncertain activism in the '70s, and finally confronting her inner
turmoil over her role as a woman of the '80s and '90's. The winner of
every major award in 1989, including the Tony and the Pulitzer, The
Heidi Chronicles ignited Wendy Wasserstein's illustrious career,
which was cut short by her untimely death in 2006.
Program Advertising and Conference Sponsorship
Here is a
great way for you to support the
NAPE Education Foundation and advertise your business or show your
support for equity in education.
Your advertisement will be seen by
individuals from the public, private, and the corporate sector from all
over the country, including Hawaii and Alaska, that attend the NAPE
Professional Development Institute and will be indicative of your
support in promoting equitable classrooms and workplaces. Advertisers
and sponsors will be highlighted on the NAPE website increasing the
visibility of your support. Click here for the
Ad Book Sponsors Form.
All proceeds from the program
advertisements and conference sponsorships will be donated to the
NAPE Education Foundation. The Foundation was initiated as a result
of state and local education and workforce agencies requesting
assistance with program improvement efforts. As a result, its
mission evolved and is focused on expanding career options and the
economic potential of America’s diverse workforce. Currently we are
working on projects that target underrepresented groups in information
technology programs and increasing the participation of females in
science, technology, engineering and math related careers. These
projects include partnerships with organizations like the National
Academy of Engineering, Cisco Systems Inc. and Project Lead the Way.
Proceeds from the silent auction and the program advertising will be
used to support projects like these.
All
donations are tax deductible as the
NAPE Education Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
